The history of Everards Brewery.
Everards Brewery was founded in 1849 when William Everard of Narborough entered into a partnership with a maltster named Thomas Hull. They acquired the business of Messrs Wilmot, a Leicester brewery, and at the same time leased premises in Southgate Street, Leicester.
William Everard was the initiator and driving force behind the new enterprise and the brewery soon grew to serve many local pubs. It also began to purchase and run its own houses, several of which remain part of the brewery's current, high quality estate of over 160 pubs. At the heart of Everards story is a proud tradition of progress which for five generations has allowed the company to remain a successful. family-owned, truly independent brewery.
